The attached rule change proposals have been posted on the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal's website for public comment.  Comments are due July 31, 2019.

The revisions to:

Circuit Rule 27-3, Emergency Motions; and minor revisions to various other Miscellaneous Rules

are designed to clarify the requirements for filing emergency motions and eliminate the separate concept of urgent motions, to reduce the number of paper copies of briefs and excerpts of record required by the rules, and to clarify language and mirror existing practice with respect to various other rules.  If ultimately approved by the Court, these rules would become effective December 1, 2019.
