Per 31 U.S. Code § 9306(b), to register a Power of Attorney you must:
- Submit two (2) certified or notarized originals of the Power of Attorney appointing an agent for service of process to the Clerk's Office with Power of Attorney cover sheet and the fee payment.
- List the agent's county of residence on the Power of Attorney; they must reside in the Western District of Washington.
- Submit a $52.00 fee for each (2) of the divisional offices (total of $104.00).
- If you are filing a surety bond concurrently with the POA, docket a copy of the Power of Attorney as an attachment to the bond using the Bond event in CM/ECF.

Note: Pursuant to 31 U.S.C. 9306(c)(1), if a resident agent is removed, resigns, dies, or becomes disabled, the surety corporation shall appoint another agent. The appointment of an additional or a new agent requires that a new Power of Attorney is filed following the instructions noted above.
